Reviewing Your Selected and Intensive Levels of Support

Evaluate and Refine the Process Learning Module

This module has been designed for schools that have worked through each of the other modules and are on a path of continuous improvement. Its purpose is to guide reflection on how effectively and efficiently the school’s selected and intensive levels of support respond to its students’ needs and how the school will improve and refine practices accordingly. The resources provide a range of checklists and tools (e.g., system self assessments, intervention effectiveness tracking tools, system evaluation and improvement guides) to assist teams in this process. The resources also help teams consider the connections between their additional support levels and other state mandates and initiatives, ways to engage families in the process, and how to use cultural competency throughout.

USING THIS MODULE
To engage your school with this module, we recommend designating a team facilitator. Then, download and print the complete Facilitator Guide and the Wisconsin RtI Center glossary. Here are some additional resources (fillable) to use with your team.

Steps to complete this module:

  1. Read About this Key Feature (or use the accompanying PowerPoint) and discuss.
  2. Review related vocabulary terms.
  3. Choose guiding questions and complete current status.
  4. Select, read, and discuss a student scenario.
  5. Articulate desired future.
  6. Identify priorities.
  7. Select resources that address identified priorities.
  8. Create a plan of action.
