Welcome to the Wisconsin RtI Center!
My role as a Technical Assistance Coordinator at the Wisconsin RtI Center has provided me with the exciting opportunity to merge my professional work and personal passion for ensuring equitable learning opportunities for students in Wisconsin.
I support southern Wisconsin schools by providing technical assistance directly to school and district level leadership teams. I also work in partnership with the southern CESAs supporting schools and districts with technical and adaptive system changes that promote sustainability of a culturally responsive multi-level system of support. Statewide, I provide systemic and systematic universal literacy instruction support by co-facilitating the Reviewing Universal Reading Instruction: EC-Grade 12 training.
My experience working in urban and rural school settings has provided me with many rich and diverse educational opportunities. Over the years, I have been a classroom teacher, Title I reading and math learning strategist, and a reading specialist.
My experience implementing a culturally responsive multi-level system of support began with analysis of data. Our staff recognized the need to implement a framework that was equitable, responsive and would meet the needs of our diverse range of learners. My work focused on supporting staff with implementing systemic differentiated universal instruction, creating an effective strategic assessment system, establishing data driven collaborative routines and structures, developing a continuum of supports for all learners, providing coaching support and implementing culturally responsive practices.
Along with my co-workers at the Wisconsin RtI Center, I look forward to helping schools and districts reach Wisconsin’s vision of all students graduating college and career ready.
