My educational career has provided me with many rich and diverse teaching opportunities, including experience working in urban and rural school settings. I have been a classroom teacher, Title I reading and math learning strategist, and most recently a reading specialist in the Stoughton Area School District. In Stoughton, our staff provided a multi-level system of support focusing on 21st Century Skills, high quality instruction, balanced assessment, and culturally responsive practices. I have worked collaboratively with staff to support them with making instructional decisions based on data. In addition, I have provided on-going staff development in the areas of literacy, differentiation, balanced assessment, and RtI frameworks. I have had the privilege of serving on statewide RtI committees and participating in a national RtI research study through the University of Texas at Austin.
